Griffin works with community partners to build one-of-a-kind programs at PEAKS Campus and with LRSD’s Place-Based Education Supervisor in the Division’s ongoing pursuit of exceptional student experiences and education.

Griffin holds Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge. A certified teacher, he also holds a number of outdoor certifications. Griffin has volunteered as a mountain safety operations ski patrol team member at Castle Mountain; has experience in forestry including, reforestation, surveying, and wildfire fighting; years of backcountry experience and is a certified tandem canoe lake instructor.

“I am so excited to provide LRSD students the resources and tools to experience the Rocky Mountains and Foothills of Treaty 7 Territory outside of their traditional classroom,” says Griffin. “PEAKS Campus is an opportunity for us to immerse ourselves in our community to learn about the unique people, places, and ecosystems that enrich it.”

A very active person, you can typically find Griffin in the outdoors, playing sports, or pursing artistic endeavors. When he’s not doing that, you will find him volunteering in the community providing accessible athletic opportunities for kids.
