A Message To All Of Our Partners...

On behalf of PEAKS Campus and Livingstone Range School Division, we thank you for your efforts in connecting and teaching students about their surroundings to foster a community of learning and care for one's place. We appreciate and admire your dedication to sharing your knowledge and expertise with the next generation. The effect it has is invaluable.

-PEAKS

Through Livingstone Range School Division's dual credit partnership with Lethbridge Polytechnic students can earn high school and post-secondary credit in more than 50 courses. Together with Lethbridge Polytechnic, we built a state-of-the-art mobile field study lab for environmental science hands-on opportunities.

Land-based camps are offered in partnership with Actua, Canada's leading science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education outreach organization.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is invested in making the next generation of stewards. The NCC collaborates with our collegiate and Indigenous Land Camps. They share one-of-a-kind place-based learning opportunities that have allowed our students to learn about environmental science, and participate in community projects that will have a lasting impact.

Environmental science field trips to Waterton Lakes National Park provide incredible experiential opportunities for students. Soon students will have the opportunity to volunteer for various projects, learn about various career paths at Waterton Lakes National Park, and hopefully provide practicum opportunities for students looking to gain work experience.

The University of Lethbridge is conducting a research study that explores how PEAKS programming impacts the mental health and wellness of Livingstone Range School Division Students. We are optimistic this research will provide valuable evidence for how place-based practices influence student learning and well-being.

The Oldman Watershed Council (OWC) provides one-of-a-kind programming for the PEAKS Collegiate programs through experiential investigative field sciences in wetlands that enable our students to learn about the significance and issues that affect our local watershed.

The Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada (WPEFC) has helped support multiple programs that have enabled students to apply cross-curricular outcomes to real-life ecological studies in their backyard. The WPEFC has been a leader in connecting students to local ecological projects and issues in their community.

The Crowsnest Conservation Society (CCS) has been an influential support for our students through connections with other community partners, educational sessions on local ecological projects, and promoting awareness of the significance of the Crowsnest Pass and surrounding area.
